Starting his NZ artisan cheese-making journey in 2000, Michael from Zany Zeus has perfected the art of making outstanding halloumi and feta cheese. Family inspiration and support combined with hard work in forging his own path, have been the backbone of Michael’s cheese journey. His Cypriot mother’s cheese-making skills, his Food Technology degree, and support from his sister to let him experiment with cheese-making techniques at her home, have all lead to NZ being lucky enough to have authentic but locally handmade organic Cypriot cheese to discover.
For the past 20 years, Zany Zeus has supplied cheese, organic milk, cream and cultured products to hundreds of cafes and restaurants. We are very proud to have their cheese in The Cheese Wheel whanau and share their organic artisan cheeses across the country.
