How do you eat your goat cheese?  We must admit that we do enjoy eating ours ‘naked’, albeit with a piece of sliced pear, fig or a few olives on the side but appreciate how great it tastes in cooked dishes also.

With the exceptional goat cheese makers we are passionate about featuring in our boxes (to name a few Nieuwenhuis, Anabelle Fine Cheese, Cilantro, Cranky Goat), & the different varieties they produce, late autumn through to summer is a great time to be a goat cheese lover in NZ.

Goat cheese is becoming increasingly popular in New Zealand, with a growing number of artisan cheesemakers producing a variety of delicious and unique cheeses. Goat milk has a naturally tangy flavor that is often described as being more complex than cow’s milk, and this flavor is reflected in the goat cheeses made in New Zealand.

Goat cheese is a versatile cheese that can be used in a variety of dishes. It is a good choice for salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. It can also be used in cooked dishes, such as risottos and pasta sauces.
