Sustainability is key for us at The Cheese Wheel. Foodies and New Zealanders in general should not have to make compromises to eat quality artisan cheese. We, at The Cheese Wheel do out bit by ensuring our packaging has as low impact as possible on the the environment, by recycling waste and by using an electric vehicle for our deliveries in Wellington.
NZ artisan cheese makers too are working hard to do their bits. The newly established “Sustainability Award” at the NZ Champions of Cheese Awards applauds their efforts, while research explores more advanced solutions.
